The PSAT
The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, US. The scores from the PSAT/NMSQT are used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship
Format: A pencil-paper Test, the PSAT has multiple choice questions and no negative marking.
Duration: 2 hours 45 minutes
Total Score: 1520 (English 760+ Maths 760)
Eligibility: While both US citizens and International students are eligible to take the Test, only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship.
Upcoming Dates: Held once a year and on the first. Saturday of October for International students.
